Paula Asmus, ODAfter completing her undergraduate education at the University of Colorado at Boulder, Dr. Asmus attended the University of California at Berkeley School of Optometry and received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 1990. She is currently an active member of the American Optometric Association, the California Optometric Association and Alameda-Contra Costa Counties Optometric Association.
Her license allows her to prescribe glasses, train eye muscle deficiencies, fit contact lenses, co-manage laser vision correction and treat various health conditions of the eye, including glaucoma, foreign body removal, allergy, and conjunctivitis. Her education is ongoing with seminars that keep her and her staff up to date with the latest advances in eye care. When she is not working, Paula enjoys golf, playing tennis, mountain biking and spending quality time with her husband, Ron and two sons, Derrick and Alec. email: [email protected] |
Way C. Yu, ODDr. Yu received her undergraduate degree at Claremont McKenna College, and her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of California at Berkeley School of Optometry. Before joining Pt. Richmond Optometry in 2009, she externed at the Portland Veteran Affairs Hospital. Castle Family Health Clinic (in Atwater, CA), and the Alameda County Medical Center.
She is currently a Board member of the Redwood Empire Optometric Association. She is licensed to perform full-scope optometry encompassing the treatment of glaucoma as well as specialty contact lenses fittings including scleral lenses and orthokeratology (also known as Corneal Refractive Therapy or CRT). Although she was born and raised in Southern California, Way loves the weather and culture of the Bay Area. When she is not working, she enjoys cooking, reading, hiking, and traveling with her husband and two sons. email: [email protected] |
Allison Chu, ODWelcome, Dr. Chu! Dr. Chu joined Point Richmond Optometry in 2025. She is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley School of Optometry.
